Colic :o(

Does anyone have any ideas on how to cure or help with colic? Brinley has become colicky, it seems like she cries all day. She has her good moments, like while she is eating and for about 20 minutes after, but then it is non-stop crying periods until it is time to eat again. Mylicon seems to work every once in a while, and she gets so mad at her binky now. I miss her wide-eyed expressions and sweet little smiles!

The magic touch for my baby was to go outside on walks. My baby wrap became my best friend. Plus, I got a lot more exercise. Granted, that was also in the middle of summer… Also, she loved being carried on her tummy. That could stop tears in about 1 minute. We carried her in a kind of football hold with her head on our hand and her tummy on our forearm, with her legs around our upper arm/elbow. Or backwards with her head just below our elbow. Depended on her mood.

Good luck! Hope you can make it through the tears. I hear that it peaks at 6 weeks, then it just gets better from there.

You should try gripe water. It worked for my kids, and it is pretty inexpensive. You can find it near the pharmacy or even just ask the pharmacist. The football hold helped with my kids too. Hope you can find something that works for your sweet little baby!

Oh Starla, this post breaks my heart. Kenleigh cried a ton the first three months. The only thing that helped us was a super tight swaddle and rocking in the rocking chair, and rocking, and rocking, and rocking. I lived in that chair! Love you.

Have you ruled out reflux? 3 of my kids needed meds for it. Mylanta works well for immediate relief.

That is always hard trying to figure out what to do for them. Best of luck!

I agree with the going outside thing, we even did it in the winter, we just bundled her up. It seemed to be the ONLY thing to calm her down when she was really worked up. She also liked car rides to get her to sleep for about a month or so. Allie also had a little bit of reflux as well and I actually propped her up in her boppy while she slept which seemed to help. She cried a lot for about 3 or so months. Just remember that it will get better, but it is also okay to think that it's hard!

I would lay Livvy down on her tummy across my legs and rub her back while I moved my legs back and forth. I hope she gets better soon! Next time you guys are up give us a call! We miss you!
